The 22nd Annual Morning Star School Tennis Classic
The 22nd Annual Morning Star School Tennis Classic will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday April 3rd, 4th and 5th at Hunter's Green Country Club. This event will take place during Morning Star School's 50th Anniversary of serving children with special needs. The annual Tennis Classic is a doubles tournament for men, women and mixed doubles team players. 50th Anniversary Celebration Events
Plans are underway for Morning Star School's 50th Anniversary Celebration! Beginning August of 2008, Morning Star School, Tampa, will celebrate 50 years of providing a Catholic education for students with special learning needs. We are attempting to make contact with alumni and former faculty to help us celebrate this wonderful milestone. We need your help to spread the word to all Morning Star Alumni.
Planned events during our 50th Anniversary include:
- Wednesday, September 17, 2008 - Commemorative Mass beginning at 9:30 AM at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church celebrated by Bishop Robert Lynch and assisted by Monsignor Laurence Higgins
- Saturday, October 11, 2008 - Picnic for alumni, former staff, current students & their families at the Tampa Bay Baptist Conference Center from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Monday, November 17, 2008 - Alumni career day
- Thursday, December 18, 2008 - This year's Christmas play is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Most Holy Redeemer parish center
- Thursday, March 19, 2009 - This is the tentative date for the annual Morning Star School Gala. It will include "A Nostalgic Look at the Past 50 Years"
